Traffic accident - Driver crashes into tree: seriously injured

A man suspected of being under the influence of alcohol was seriously injured in a traffic accident on the Bundesstraße 70 near Vreden (Borken district). According to the police, the man left the road in his car on Tuesday evening for unknown reasons and crashed into a tree. The driver had to be freed from his car by the fire department and was taken to hospital. The police were able to detect the smell of alcohol on the driver's breath.
