Driver crashes car into bridge pillar and dies
A young driver has died in hospital following an accident in Lower Franconia. According to police reports on Monday, the 20-year-old drove his car off a road near Collenberg (Miltenberg district) on Thursday and then crashed into the pillar of a railroad bridge. He was seriously injured and flown to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.
The road where the accident occurred was heavily congested due to the Traffic diversion caused by the accident. Unfortunately, similar Accidents under bridges often lead to severe damage to the UNDERFRONT of the vehicles involved.
