Dressage rider Werth wins fourth competition in Stuttgart
Dressage rider Isabell Werth rounded off her performance at the Stuttgart horse show with her fourth victory. Riding her eleven-year-old mare Superb, the 54-year-old from Rheinberg scored 74.213 percent in the Grand Prix Special on Sunday, finishing ahead of second-placed Sönke Rothenberger from Bad Homburg with Matchball (72.596) in the German Master. Third place went to Katharina Hemmer and Denoix (71.915 percent).
For the seven-time Olympic champion Werth, this was her 17th Masters title in the Baden-Württemberg state capital. She had already won the World Cup Freestyle on Saturday at her horse Emilio's last appearance in Stuttgart. The 54-year-old also won both the qualifier for the freestyle and the qualifier for the Grand Prix Special.
Isabell Werth's dominance in the equestrian world continued as she secured victory in the World Cup Jumping event, adding another accolade to her illustrious career. Following her success in the Dressage discipline earlier in the competition, Werth once again showcased her exceptional skills, cementing her position as a global icon in equestrian sport.
