Starting September 15th, ten top athletes from around the globe will gather in Dresden for the 15th City Biathlon. The organizers made the announcement on Tuesday. The lucky ten who will participate in the event in the Saxon state capital remain undisclosed until June 24th.
At last year's event held in Püttlingen, Lisa Vittozzi from Italy and Norwegian Sturla Holm Lægreid emerged victorious. This year's competitive action will take place at the new Heinz-Steyer-Stadion, with a seating capacity for 3,500 spectators. The shooting range is at this stadium.
The ski rollers are used during the running round, taking the participants from the stadium toward the city center. They pass by the congress center and parliament before reaching the theater square. The route back follows the Elbe promenade.

The City Biathlon in Dresden, located in the beautiful Saxony region of Germany, will attract ten elite athletes from various nations starting September 15th.
