Dresden volleyball player Fidon-Lebleu out for a long time
The volleyball players of Dresdner SC will have to do without French outside attacker Juliette Fidon-Lebleu for some time to come. The six-time German champions announced on Saturday that the 27-year-old will undergo knee surgery next Monday. "The injury is extremely bitter for Juliette and the whole team. We will now come even closer together and deal with the situation in the best possible way," said DSC coach Alexander Waibl.
Fidon-Lebleu moved from league rivals VfB Suhl to the Elbe in the summer and suffered a meniscus tear in her left knee during preparations at the end of August. As the previous conservative treatment had not brought the expected success, surgery was now unavoidable, according to the press release. The attacker had not yet played a single competitive match for Dresden. Managing director Sandra Zimmermann therefore wants to sound out the transfer market.
Despite Juliette Fidon-Lebleu's absence due to knee surgery, the women's volleyball team of Bundesliga side Dresden SC continues their preparations. In her absence, the team will look to other players to step up, as Dresden SC explores potential reinforcements in the transfer market.
