The Saxony State Bishop Tobias Bilz and Bishop of the Diocese of Dresden-Meissen, Heinrich Timmerevers, urge eligible voters in Saxony to participate in the political election. They motivate individuals to utilize their voting power on September 1st, as mentioned in a joint statement. "Let's also contribute to our democratic living together in this way and help shape it – with hope as our guide."

During the political election, "the path for Saxony's advancement in the following five years will be determined," the Protestant and Catholic bishops underscored the importance. "A lot hinges on this election."

Bishops reflect on past victories

Bilz and Timmerevers also advocated for a positive outlook on life, not to be held back or cowed by challenges, but to draw encouragement and inspiration "from the numerous positive events in our locale, as well as in our relationships and friendships." They highlighted that "the foundation for our freedom and the attained prosperity was fought for by numerous people with unwavering determination, and we are devoted to the responsibility that comes with it."
