Presenter Jan Böhmermann and musician Olli Schulz have so far raised more than 750,000 euros at a fundraising gala. Over 13,000 people donated to the "Festive and Fluffy Christmas Circus", as can be seen on the Betterplace platform on Sunday morning. The proceeds will benefit projects in Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Brandenburg. A quarter of the money will also be donated to the "Hateaid" organization.

The teams from the Thuringian Buchenwald and Mittelbau-Dora Memorials Foundation, the Johanniter "Pusteblume" children's home in Burg (Spree-Neisse district) and the "Partnership for Democracy" initiative in Köthen (Anhalt-Bitterfeld district) were delighted with the podcasters' choice.

The annual gala took place this year at the Natural History Museum in Berlin. A total of 250 tickets were allocated. The donations were collected online.
