International League Among Countries - Domestic matches in Düsseldorf, Munich, and Freiburg
Prior to the European Championship, the German Football Association has set the schedule for the national team following the tournament. The German national squad will kick off the new season with a game against Hungary on September 7th in Düsseldorf. They have a total of six games in the group phase of the Nations League set up from September to November. The next match is a trip to Amsterdam against the Netherlands on September 10th, according to the DFB.
The competition for the title of national coach Julian Nagelsmann heats up on October 11th with a clash in Zenica against Bosnia and Herzegovina, followed by a home match against the Netherlands in Munich on October 14th. The year ends with a game in Freiburg against Bosnia and Herzegovina on November 16th and a match in Budapest against Hungary on November 19th, both starting at 20:45.
In other news, the draw for the qualification groups of the 2026 World Cup is slated for this year. The spots for the tournament in the USA, Canada, and Mexico will be decided in a manner similar to the final round of the Nations League 2025.
