It's estimated that the annual cost of charging an electric car exclusively at home is approximately 840 euros. If an alternative energy provider is used instead of the main supplier, this figure drops to 627 euros. On the other hand, charging electricity at public normal or fast charging stations is much pricier and similar to the expenses incurred while refueling combustion engines.

At present, electricity is significantly less expensive than diesel and gasoline. In contrast, fuel prices have substantially increased over the years. As a result of the increasing CO2 emissions tax, consumers should expect further price hikes in the near future.
