Emergency - Dog rescued from overheated car
Firefighters rescued a dog from an overheated car in Hoyerswerda. A witness alerted the emergency services on a Friday because the animal had been in the vehicle with approximately 30 degrees Celsius outside temperature and closed windows for around 90 minutes, as the police reported on a Saturday. Since the 49-year-old owner could not be found, firefighters opened the car and freed the dog. Although the dog was doing well given the circumstances, the dog owner must now account for the violation of the Animal Protection Law.
