- Dog attack in Neuruppin - child with bite wounds
A dog in Neuruppin attacked and injured an eight-year-old girl. The dog had broken free from its 43-year-old owner's leash and lunged at the child, according to a police spokesperson. The girl sustained multiple bite wounds to her thigh and was taken to a hospital.
The girl had been riding a bike with her mother and another child when the attack occurred. After his dog attacked, the owner attempted to leave the scene unnoticed. However, witnesses helped identify him. The criminal police are now investigating him for negligent bodily harm.
The mother of the girl immediately called for an [emergency] service due to her daughter's injuries. The owner was later questioned at the police station about the incident's circumstances.
