Doctors need to be authorized to share details about vulnerable kids.

Improved data exchange between doctors in Saxony-Anhalt will enhance protection of kids and youth from violence and neglect, according to Social Affairs Minister Petra Grimm-Benne (SPD). The state government has approved a legal amendment to facilitate this.

This becomes particularly important when parents who frequently abuse their children tend to switch doctors. By doing so, we can detect issues sooner and potentially report them to the youth welfare office.
