Health - Doctors at Mainz University Medicine receive more money

Doctors at the Mainz University Medical Center will receive more money. This is the result of an agreement reached with the hospital board on Tuesday, as announced by the Marburger Bund on Wednesday. According to the agreement, the salaries of the more than 1,000 doctors will be increased by 4.1 percent retroactively to January 1, 2023 and by a further 4.1 percent on January 1 of next year. In addition, there will be an inflation allowance of 3,000 euros, which will be paid out in May 2024. From August next year, there will also be a so-called future amount of 50 euros per month. According to a University Medicine spokesperson, the agreement is valid until the end of 2024.
