Doctors at DRK clinics receive 9.75 percent salary increase
Doctors at the DRK clinics in Berlin will receive more money in future. The Marburger Bund doctors' union announced on Friday that it had reached an agreement with the clinics on a salary increase of 9.75 percent in three stages and a tax-free one-off payment of 2,200 euros. The new collective agreement runs until June 30, 2025.
According to the announcement, doctors' salaries will increase by 4.0 percent from January 1, 2024, by a further 3.0 percent from October 1, 2024 and by a further 2.75 percent from January 1, 2025. According to the Marburger Bund, "a number of improvements to working conditions" have also been negotiated, "including the assessment of on-call duty and short-term cover". "We are particularly pleased about the shortened times for step increases for medical specialists, which mean an additional financial boost," said Peter Bobbert, Chairman of the Marburger Bund Berlin/Brandenburg.
There was initially no confirmation from the employer side.
The increase in doctors' salaries at DRK clinics might put pressure on hospital budgets, potentially leading to discussions about tariffs. The new collective agreement includes negotiated improvements in working conditions, such as reevaluating on-call duty and short-term cover, which could influence future tariff talks.
