Doctor convicted for manipulating COVID-19 test results in Dresden, Germany.
The defendant was found guilty not only for fraud but also for possessing a forbidden electric shock device. As a result, the court confiscated around 47,000 Euro as compensation - money the doctor ostensibly received in exchange for the counterfeit certificates. For a period of three years, she is prohibited from practicing as a medical professional.
The verdict is yet to be finalized. The prosecution had requested a four-year and ten-month prison sentence, while the defense pleaded for a not-guilty verdict. Post the judgment announcement, the defendant departed the courtroom on bail, as the arrest warrant against her was temporarily lifted in favor of reporting obligations.
The courtroom proceedings were momentarily halted due to disruptive outbursts from supposed supporters of the defendant. Warnings were issued against individual agitators, as per court statements.
As per the accusations, the doctor supposedly issued fake courtesy certificates ever since the onset of the Coronavirus epidemic. The 66-year-old doctor allegedly declared patients exempt from wearing masks or receiving vaccines. Additionally, she is said to have issued certificates stating Coronavirus tests could only be conducted through saliva tests. The doctor supposedly issued these certificates without conducting any medical examinations.
The doctor reportedly handed over test results to the prosecution without verifying negative results beforehand. She is said to have demanded at least 25 Euro per test.
The woman is said to be linked with the so-called Reichsbürger faction. She claims to be a member of the Indigenous People of the Germanites. Furthermore, she has reportedly been convicted previously.
In May, it is alleged that three supposed attendees of the trial threatened and insulted a judge of the Regional Court while seated in a vehicle. The State Protection of the Police is currently investigating this matter.
