A second-division football team, 1. FC Magdeburg, has revealed their newest acquisition for the coming season. Falko Michel, a 23-year-old, will be making the switch from Borussia Dortmund II to join the Elbe. The news surfaced on Wednesday. Before this announcement, discussions had already taken place with wing players Lubambo Musonda (Silkeborg) and Pierre Nadjombé (1. FC Köln II).
The versatile Michel has the ability to play in central midfield, as well as on the wing. During the previous season, he took part in 31 matches, netting three goals and setting up two more. Coach Christian Titz commented, "Falko possesses immense potential and can be deployed in various offensive roles due to his speed and agility." Prior to his stint at Dortmund, Michel had played for VfB Stuttgart's reserve squad.
