The police were deployed in a large-scale operation in the Allgäu region due to disputes within a large family. The incident was sparked by reports of a possible firearms incident, as announced by a spokesperson from the Police Headquarters of Swabia South/West in Kempten.

In addition to several closed units, a police helicopter and drones were also involved in the operation on Wednesday in Seeg (district of Ostallgäu). The operation caused traffic disruptions.

The police had already been alerted in the early hours of Wednesday due to a dispute. Officers found that a large family had rented several vehicles in the area of a farm in Seeg. There had reportedly been a physical altercation there beforehand. The number of people involved and any possible injuries are still under investigation.

Investigations also revealed that there were gunshot-like noises during the dispute, which led to the large-scale operation on Wednesday morning. However, there are no indications that anyone was injured or property was damaged by any possible shots. No firearm was found. The spokesperson did not provide further details on the incident.

The spokesperson added that there was no danger to the public throughout the entire operation. Investigations are ongoing.
