Disney boss Bob Iger holds out the prospect of "The Ice Queen 4"
Good news for fans of the Disney hit "The Ice Queen": Disney boss Bob Iger has held out the prospect of filming a fourth part in a television interview.
The third part is already in the works, said the CEO on Thursday (local time) on the program "Good Morning America" - and as a "little surprise", he added that part 4 could also be in the making. "Frozen" creator Jennifer Lee is currently working with her team on "not one but actually two stories", said Iger. However, he did not reveal anything about the content of the films.
Following the box office triumph of "Frozen" (2013), Disney released the sequel "Frozen 2" in 2019. The two animated hits about the unlikely sisters Elsa and Anna in the kingdom of Arendelle grossed more than 2.7 billion dollars worldwide. The directing duo Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck worked on both parts.
"The Ice Queen" is a very free adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's classic fairy tale. The original film won the Oscar for best animated film in 2014.
Excited fans of the Disney franchise "Frozen" are eagerly anticipating the release of the third movie, as confirmed by Disney CEO Bob Iger. Furthermore, Iger hinted at the possibility of a fourth instalment, stating that "Frozen" creator Jennifer Lee is currently working on not one, but two stories for the series.
