- Discovered Gun in Boppard Unmasked as a Plaything
It was revealed that the alleged firearms carried by two individuals who supposedly entered a restaurant in Boppard (Rhein-Hunsrück district) were merely toys. As per the authorities, a woman spotted the supposedly armed gentlemen exiting a vehicle and entering a pizzeria from a nearby supermarket on Friday. Upon being notified, police tracked down the vehicle's owner, who confirmed that the weapons were not genuine.
The officers reportedly confiscated the imitation firearms. Law enforcement is currently examining if this situation could potentially violate firearm regulations. From a distance, the toy weapons were hardly distinguishable from the real ones, reports suggest.
Following the tip-off, the police established a perimeter and conducted a search in the surrounding area of the restaurant. Fortunately, the situation did not pose any threat to the public.
The woman who reported the supposedly armed individuals was concerned due to their presence near the pizzeria. Despite being women, several patrons in the restaurant remained calm throughout the incident.
