Flooding scenario - Disaster declared in Rosenheim district.
In the town of Rohrdorf, officials began making arrangements to evacuate homes on a residential street in the evening. Roughly sixty people were impacted. In Bad Feilnbach and Raubling, basements and cellars were reported to be submerged in water. Bad Feilnbach could only be accessed by car with great difficulty. Emergency responders in Thansau concentrated their efforts on an elderly care facility, as water threatened to infiltrate.
The municipality requested that residents stay away from areas prone to flooding and avoid staying in cellars and underground parking spaces close to bodies of water.
An official from Rosenheim's city hall characterized the situation in the evening as "unclear." "At this time, it's hard to predict how the flood condition will worsen," Mayor Andreas Maerz (CSU) said. Experts from the Water Management Office predicted that flood alert level three, possibly even four, might be reached at the Mangfall. "Our flood defenses are prepared for both scenarios."
