Digital work agreements from the federal government to be implemented.
The legislative draft for the fourth administrative relief law is now up for discussion in the parliament, focusing on the digitalization of employment contracts. The new law allows for the delivery of essential employment terms online, though hard copies can be provided upon employee request.
This legislation may also impact listed companies, as they will no longer need to publish remuneration-related resolutions in the Federal Gazette. Instead, shareholders can be notified via the company's official website.
Furthermore, business owners planning to move their premises under a new authority's jurisdiction will only need to register with the new business authority, bypassing the need to register with both old and new authorities.
Arbitration President Rainer Dulger applauded the federal cabinet's decision, claiming, "At last, modernization in Dino-Germany moves forward!" He additionally urged for the digitalization of employment contracts within sectors hitherto excluded, such as logistics and cleaning services, as they desperately need relief.
The Startup Association deemed this decision as a significant stride for the German economy. "No more cluttered paper piles, no unnecessary hand-signed documents, and no excessive mailing costs," stated Managing Director Christoph Stresing. These planned changes make Germany's labor market "slightly more appealing."
