Soccer - DFB fines HSV
Second division club Hamburger SV will be asked to pay for the misconduct of its supporters in the league match at VfL Osnabrück. The sports court of the German Football Association(DFB) sentenced the club to a fine of 39,000 euros on Monday. The club can use up to 13,000 euros of this amount for security or violence prevention measures, as announced by the DFB.
HSV supporters had set off at least 36 Bengal flares, six smoke candles and 23 flashers during the second division match at Bremer Brücke on September 22. Hamburg lost the match 1:2 at the promoted team.
