Soccer - DFB Cup: Phönix Lübeck against Dortmund in the Volksparkstadion
The Regionalliga football team Phoenix Lübeck will play its first round match in the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) against Borussia Dortmund at Volksparkstadion. This was announced by Hamburger SV on a Wednesday.
Phoenix, the state cup winner of Schleswig-Holstein, could not hold the game at its home stadium Buniamshof due to the security regulations of the German Football Association (DFB). In search of an alternative location for its 3,000-seater stadium in Lübeck, Phoenix has now come to an agreement with HSV.
The game against the Champions League finalist from Dortmund is scheduled for August 17 (6:00 PM). Information on ticket sales will follow, according to HSV's announcement, in early July.
