Several pro-Palestinian delegates criticized the parents of Hersh Goldberg-Polin being given the opportunity to speak, but no American-Palestinian voice was featured on the conference schedule.
The dad asked for a peaceful resolution between Israel and Hamas, pleading, "We need to speak for peace and end this senseless conflict." Despite their criticism, some protesters outside the convention center began chanting, "Let them speak, let Hersh's parents share their tale of despair."
