Detained suspect suspected of murdering a mother and her parents in Saxony.
The prosecution is pursuing the theory that the murderer behind the night raids is the one who unexpectedly attacked his mother and grandparents while they were asleep and brutally struck them with an axe on their heads.
The 28-year-old, who cohabited with his 59-year-old mother, 84-year-old grandmother, and 85-year-old grandfather in a residential area in Saxon Vogtland, called the police himself on Monday using an emergency number. He calmly stated that he had committed the heinous act.
Upon arrival at the scene, the police discovered three bodies of the deceased. The alleged murderer surrendered without resistance, and as it turns out, he had no prior criminal history.
