Fires - Detached house uninhabitable after fire

A detached house was destroyed by fire early Thursday morning in Überlingen in the Lake Constance district. According to the police, the façade and roof structure were in flames when the fire department arrived. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire, but the fire and the extinguishing water reportedly made the house uninhabitable. The two residents were not injured. It is not yet clear why the fire broke out. Initial estimates put the damage to the building at around 500,000 euros.

The fire incident occurred in Baden-Württemberg, specifically in the Bodensee district, in the town of Überlingen. Despite the efforts of the local fire department, the detached house was severely damaged and deemed uninhabitable due to the fire and water used to extinguish it. The investigation into the cause of the fire is currently ongoing. Unfortunately, the estimated cost of repairs is over half a million euros.
