Detached house burns in Schmalkalden: Two injured

A detached house is on fire in Schmalkalden (Schmalkalden-Meiningen district). The second floor has collapsed. According to a police spokesman on Tuesday morning, the fire is expected to be a total loss and cause damage in the six-figure range. Two injured people have been taken to hospital and the five residents are no longer in the building.

According to the information, the fire has not yet spread to neighboring houses in the Wernshausen district. The cause of the fire is still unknown, according to the spokesperson.
