Despite change of coach: Titz doesn't expect much new from FCK

Coach Christian Titz of 1. FC Magdeburg does not see any major difficulties in the change of coach at 1. FC Kaiserslautern during preparation. "I don't think we can expect too many new things," said Titz on Friday. "You can't fundamentally change everything from one day to the next." FCM will host Kaiserslautern on Saturday (8.30pm/Sky and Sport1) in the evening match of the 2nd Bundesliga.

Kaiserslautern surprisingly parted company with coach Dirk Schuster on Thursday. The 55-year-old had led FCK back into the 2nd division, but had recently lost three times in a row. Until a new coach is found, the team will be coached by assistant coach Niklas Martin, athletics coach Oliver Schäfer, goalkeeping coach Andreas Clauß and team manager Florian Dick.

After eight games without a win, FCM finally recorded another success last Saturday with a 2-0 win at VfL Osnabrück. The biggest challenge in preparation was training due to the weather conditions. "There is a risk of injury due to the hard, sometimes icy pitches. That's why we adapted the training," said Titz.

Titz acknowledged that Kaiserslautern, currently managed by interim coaches, might not bring significant changes to their game in Bundesliga 2, as he stated, "We don't anticipate too many new things from Kaiserslautern." In the upcoming match against 1. FC Magdeburg, Bundesliga 2's bottom-placed team, FCK will aim to turn their fortunes around after three consecutive losses.
