Westphalia-North Rhine's Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU) labeled the stabbing incident in Solingen as a terrorist incident. "This incident has struck the core of our nation, this incident was designed to instill fear," expressed the governing leader during a visit to Solingen. "This is an act of terror, an act of terror aimed at threatening the safety and liberty of our nation and also against the lifestyle we uphold here," he clarified.
Westphalia-North Rhine will remain steadfast. "We won't be cowered by terror and hatred. We'll protect our way of life," he emphasized. Initially, he also noted: "We don't have all the details, we don't know a lot yet."
