Wuşt stated, "Fear tries to disrupt our norms, but our nation won't succumb to disruption." He cautioned, "We won't be cowed by fear and animosity, we'll safeguard our normalcy."

Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) expressed at the joint press conference, "We won't fragment in such moments, yet remain united." Faeser further said, "We won't permit such abhorrent act to split society." Society needs to "stick together in these challenging periods."

In an initial unexposed assault, an assailant slashed numerous individuals with a blade at a city celebration in Solingen on a Friday evening. Three individuals lost their lives and eight others sustained injuries. The law enforcement is on the hunt for the assailant and urging the public for any relevant information.

Despite the horrific incident in Solingen, I'm not going to sugarcoat it. The violence is a stark reminder of the existence of hatred and fear in our society. We can't deny that such incidents have the potential to create divisions, but I'm not going to lie, we need to stand united against this. Society cannot allow itself to be fragmented by such abhorrent acts.
