Several parties and associations organized a demonstration in Hanover on Saturday against the planned tightening of asylum laws in the Bundestag. One organizer spoke of around 300 participants. The police could not initially be reached for information on the number of demonstrators. The demonstration was entitled "For a right to stay for all! Against the shift to the right in migration policy". The participants marched through the city center and met for a final rally in front of the state parliament. According to one of the organizers, there were no major incidents. Initiators included Fridays for Future Hanover, the Left Party from Hanover, the Green Youth Hanover and the Lower Saxony Refugee Council.
