Agriculture - Demo train of farmers with 60 tractors and trucks
Farmers near Weißenhorn (Neu-Ulm district) spontaneously organized a demonstration with around 60 tractors and lorries late on Friday evening, according to their own statements. Residents had reported noise and loud honking in the town center, as the police announced on Saturday. The farmers cited "the current political decisions and the resulting higher costs" as the reason. The demonstration ended after a "constructive discussion" between the police and farmers.
In Bavaria, several hundred farmers took to the streets on Friday to demonstrate against the plans of the traffic light coalition. The coalition wants to abolish tax concessions for agricultural diesel and also levy vehicle tax on tractors, combine harvesters and harvesting machines.
