Traffic - Delays and train cancellations after the onset of winter in the south

Following the onset of winter, rail travelers in southern Germany can expect delays and train cancellations until the middle of the week, as announced by Deutsche Bahn on Monday morning.

Traffic on the Gäubahn between Stuttgart and Singen has been resumed with individual long-distance trains. However, Deutsche Bahn expected the train service to be very limited at first.

The main station in Munich is currently only accessible to a very limited extent. Deutsche Bahn therefore expects a very high capacity utilization of the trains and recommends postponing journeys to and from Munich.

In response to the weather-related issues, many travelers planning to use the German railroad in Baden-Württemberg's Stuttgart region might encounter delays or cancellations, a potential inconvenience during the midweek. The onset of winter has caused a train failure on the railroad, resulting in limited train service on the Gäubahn route between Stuttgart and Singen. Munich's main station, another crucial transit point, is operating with only limited access, leading Deutsche Bahn to advise passengers to postpone their trips to and from Munich due to high train capacity utilization.
