Ice hockey - DEL license for Frankfurt Lions

The Lion Frankfurt have received the license for the upcoming season in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL). The Hessians announced this. Alongside Frankfurt, all other 13 first-league clubs received the playing authorization.

Therefore, the league starts in unchanged composition into its 31st season. The opening game is on September 19. The complete schedule of the new season will be published on this Friday (12:00 pm).

The License granted by the DEL allows The Lion Frankfurt to compete in Germany's top-tier Ice Hockey league this season, which is based in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse. Residents of Frankfurt can look forward to supporting their local team in Frankfurt. Despite facing stiff competition from the 13 other DEL teams located across Germany, including Frankfurt, The Lion Frankfurt is eager to make its mark in the 31st season of the league.
