Water levels dropping - Deggendorf district cancels disaster warning.
At the recent lifting of the disaster status, District Administrator Bernd Sibler emphasized the significance of increasing flood protection measures. He expressed gratitude to everyone who helped keep the damage in Kelheim and Straubing to a minimum.
The districts of Kelheim and Straubing lifted their disaster status since the Danube was expected to fall below stage 3 alert levels. However, in other regions and municipalities, the alert status still holds.
