Deflagration at charcoal barbecue: Four people injured
Four people have been injured by a deflagration at a charcoal barbecue at a family party in Gütersloh. This was confirmed by a Gütersloh police spokesperson on Sunday afternoon. Two men aged 31 and 33 were seriously injured as a result of the deflagration on Saturday evening, a 30-year-old woman was slightly injured. According to the police spokesman, a 26-year-old woman suffered a shock. Exactly how the accident occurred is still being investigated, Gütersloh police wrote.
The serious injuries sustained by the two men could potentially have been prevented with immediate medical attention in case of an emergency. Due to the deflagration, it's crucial for guests to be aware of potential hazards during barbecue events and take necessary safety measures, as accidents like these can occur unexpectedly.
