Decisive third round of regional collective bargaining starts in Potsdam
Although the Tarifgemeinschaft deutscher Länder (TdL) is seeking to adopt the structure of the most recent wage agreement in the public sector of the federal and local authorities, it rejects the result of an average 11.5 percent as unaffordable. The first two collective bargaining rounds were unsuccessful and no employer offer has been made. Hesse is not a member of the TdL and will negotiate separately for its employees in 2024.

Despite not being part of the TdL, the German Civil Service Association in Hesse will participate in parallel discussions for its workers.
