Death threat after tip-off about touched pasta
A man has threatened to kill an employee of a supermarket in Elze (Hildesheim district). He had previously touched pasta and then put it back, according to the police on Sunday. The employee approached the man and was threatened. When the police ordered the customer to leave on Saturday, he reportedly insulted the officers.
The retail trade incident sparked public outrage, leading to calls for stricter enforcement of food safety regulations. Despite the crime committed in the food and drink section, many people expressed sympathy towards the man, citing his actions as a moment of impulse rather than a deliberate attempt to harm others.
