Television program - Deadly wager for dessert: "Grill den Henssler" has come to an end (for one performance)

The start of the European Football Championship might be on June 14th, but the last episode of "Grill den Henssler" is already focused on football. The participants for this cooking show are Cathy Hummels as the moderator, Kevin Großkreutz, a World Cup winner, and Chris Tall, a comedian. The referee for the celebrity team is Anton Schmaus, who's a famous chef and the head coach of the national team.

If Steffen Henssler, the TV chef, loses the "Man vs. Man" pressure cooker challenge against Chris Tall, he might have to say goodbye to the "Grill den Henssler" show. Tall made a bet with Henssler and said that if he wins, Henssler would start the next season with a different show name. Then "Grill den Henssler" would be "Hänsel den Griller."

Henssler doesn't mind and decides to make it more interesting: "Let's do it with goalkeeper gloves!" The audience loves the idea, but coach Anton Schmaus says no. But Tall has no problem with that: "The coach doesn't know anything about entertainment."

The cooking with goalkeeper gloves begins: Tall doesn't love the idea while Henssler thinks it's a bit of a workout. They both bake a "Black-Red-Yellow Marble Cake" with sugar, eggs, cream, butter, and flour. Each chef comes up with a different spin on the dish, resulting in three versions.

The jury, consisting of Christian Rach, Rainer Calmund, and Jana Ina Zarella, can't decide on which cake tastes better. However, Jana Ina Zarella makes her choice and goes for comedian Chris Tall's cake. Steffen Henssler will be grilled in the next show, and his show name will be changed to "Hänsel den Griller."

The final episode of "Grill den Henssler" was aired on Sunday, June 2nd, 2025, at 8:15 pm on Vox. All episodes of "Grill den Henssler" can be streamed on RTL+.
