Seemingly, the person was taken aback by the rapid spread of the flammable substance. Investigators went on to describe the surrounding events that might have created confusion. As they narrated, a 48-year-old man was engaged in a disagreement with his neighbors.

Moreover, they mentioned that the rental agreement for the shop space would end by the close of the year and had not been extended. They disclosed that this individual was undergoing mental health treatment.

The blaze engulfed the kiosk on the ground level of a residential building in the Flingern neighborhood a fortnight ago. Besides the kiosk manager, two other men, whose ages were 55 and 18, perished in the inferno.

Sixteen individuals suffered injuries, some of them were severe, when the fire spread to the apartment above. A critically injured female patient is still in intensive care, they announced on Tuesday.
