Dead swimmer recovered from lake in Göttingen district

A dead swimmer was rescued from the Kiessee lake in Friedland (Göttingen district) on Sunday. Witnesses had previously heard the 36-year-old man's cries for help in the water and alerted the rescue services, as the police reported in the evening. In the afternoon, rescue divers found the man's lifeless body at the bottom of the lake and brought him ashore. A doctor was only able to determine his death, it was said. The exact cause of death was not known at first, but so far there are no indications that he was not at fault.

Despite the tragic incident, emergency services were quick to respond, with accidents and misfortunes always requiring immediate attention. Further investigations are needed to determine the exact cause of the swimmer's death, as emergencies often lurk beneath the surface of seemingly ordinary situations.
