Dead person discovered in apartment fire in Nordhausen
Firefighters have found a body in an apartment fire in Nordhausen. Both the identity of the person and the cause of the fire are still unclear, a police spokesperson announced on Tuesday morning. According to the statement, the fire broke out shortly after midnight in the apartment of a multi-storey residential building. Several residents were evacuated from the building. During the extinguishing work, the emergency services found the dead person in the burning apartment. The police have started an investigation into the cause of the fire and the identity of the person. A total of 55 firefighters were on site.
The emergency services were called to handle the apartment fire in Nordhausen, which unfortunately resulted in a fatality. Further investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fires and identify the deceased individual.
