Police have arrested a 26-year-old Ukrainian man in connection with an alleged homicide in a refugee shelter in Rostock. The public prosecutor's office is reviewing an application for a warrant of arrest, as announced by a spokeswoman for the authority. On Monday, a 46-year-old Ukrainian man died in the communal shelter Elbotel.

An employee of the security service found him severely injured at around 12:15 PM. The responding emergency doctor could only confirm the death of the 46-year-old, as reported by the public prosecutor's office and police. The scene suggested a homicide. No details were provided about the nature of the injuries or a possible motive.

The police are investigating potential leads in relation to the homicide, seeking any witnesses or evidence that could shed light on the incident. The suspect, who was arrested by the police, is currently being questioned about his involvement in the incident at the refugee shelter.
