Body found - Dead in apartment - man and 17-year-old in custody

A 17-year-old and a 50-year-old man are in pre-trial detention in Greifswald after a dead body was found in an apartment. The police wanted to search the apartment on Thursday morning as part of a raid involving sedatives, the Prosecutor's Office in Stralsund and the Police Inspection Anklam announced. They found the deceased man, whose identity is still unclear. The 50-year-old German apartment owner and a 17-year-old German woman, who were also in the apartment during the search measures, are suspected of manslaughter.

Both were arrested. The 50-year-old was brought before a remand judge, who issued a detention order. The juvenile was initially accommodated in a clinic due to her health condition and was then taken into police custody, it continued. A remand judge also issued a detention order for her. The exact circumstances and motive of the crime are unclear, according to the investigators - as well as the relationship between the perpetrator and the victim.

The raid took place in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, specifically in Greifswald. The Prosecutor's Office in Stralsund was involved, as were local police and the Police Inspection in Anklam. The body was discovered in an apartment linked to a 50-year-old German man, who is now in pre-trial detention for suspected manslaughter. The public prosecutor's office in Germany is currently investigating potential drug-related crimes associated with the case.
