Crime - Dead at Kottbusser Tor subway station - two men in custody

After a violent death of a man at U-Bahn station Kottbusser Tor in Berlin-Kreuzberg, two suspects have been arrested. Special forces and undercover officers were involved in the operation. Warrants for murder have been issued against the 18 and 23-year-old men, according to the police. Both are in custody.

On June 22, a 26-year-old man was found dead on the platform of U-Bahn station with stab wounds. The man with Tunisian citizenship was reportedly attacked by a group on the platform of U8 line. Kottbusser Tor has been known as a crime hotspot for decades.

Police forces arrested the 23-year-old suspect in the early hours of June 30 in Kreuzberg, while they were checking a group for suspected illegal drug dealing. He is reportedly born in the Gaza Strip, leaving his nationality unclear. The 18-year-old suspect, a Libanese national, was arrested today with the help of undercover officers from the Landeskriminalamt and special forces from the Spezialeinsatzkommando in his apartment in Berlin-Wedding.

The violent death occurred within the notorious crime hotspot of Kottbusser Tor in Berlin-Kreuzberg, which is infamous for its high rate of crimes. The 18-year-old Libanese suspect, linked to the aforementioned incident, was apprehended by the police and undercover officers today. Despite being born in Gaza Strip, the 23-year-old suspect's nationality remains unclear, as he was arrested earlier in Kreuzberg for suspected drug dealing.
