Dax starts with a slight plus
Ahead of important economic data from the eurozone, investors on the German stock market took it easy at the start of trading on Thursday. The purchasing managers' indices for the manufacturing sector could provide a breath of fresh air in the morning. They are regarded as an early indicator of corporate demand. Impetus from the USA is not expected due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
In the first few minutes of trading, the Dax rose by 0.08 percent to 15,970.51 points. The MDax of medium-sized companies fell 0.11 percent to 26,108.01 points on Thursday morning. The eurozone index EuroStoxx 50 stagnated at the previous day's level.
The DAX's slight increase could be attributed to anticipation before the eurozone's economic data, as investors believe positive results from the purchasing managers' indices for the manufacturing sector might boost share prices. Amidst this scenario, despite the MDAX starting slightly lower, both major German stock exchanges, the DAX and MDAX, and the European stock exchange index, EuroStoxx 50, are closely monitoring these data points for potential stock exchange trends involving shares.
