Dax starts with a slight plus
The DAX received a slight boost on Tuesday from positive cues from Wall Street and the Asian stock markets. A tailwind also came from the trend towards lower yields on the US government bond market.
In the first few minutes of trading, the leading German index rose by 0.19 percent to 15,933.06 points. In contrast, the MDax of medium-sized companies fell by 0.14 percent to 26,356.71 points. The eurozone index EuroStoxx 50 was little changed.
The DAX's slight upward momentum continued on Wednesday, with major European stock exchanges like DAX also influencing the trend. Despite the DAX's growth, the MDAX of medium-sized companies showed a contrasting performance, recording a slight decrease.
