Data carrier and alarm gun found during raid
During the "Reichsbürger" raid on Thursday, investigators found data carriers and a blank-firing weapon, among other things. Irritant devices were also seized, the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior and Ministry of Justice announced in a joint statement.
"All evidence is being meticulously evaluated", said Bavaria's Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (CSU) on Thursday. The investigators hoped to "shed further light on the Reichsbürger environment". Further investigations have not been ruled out.
After the evaluation, the Public Prosecutor General's Office will check in each individual case whether there is sufficient evidence for an indictment. Bavaria's Minister of Justice Georg Eisenreich (CSU) said: "Anyone who denies our constitutional state and crosses the line into criminal law must expect an unannounced visit from the police and public prosecutor's office at any time."
The discovery of data carriers and a blank-firing weapon during the raid raises concerns about potential extremist activities within the "Reichsbürger" movement. Any forms of extremism related to denial of the constitutional state could lead to criminal investigations and visits from the police.
