Soccer - Darmstadt 98 voted in favor of investors joining DFL

SV Darmstadt 98 is one of the 24 first and second division clubs that have given their approval for the planned entry of an investor in the German Football League (DFL). "Strong and successful central marketing by the DFL, from which SV 98 also benefits, supports the 50+1 principle and thus makes the clubs less dependent on the entry of investors," the club announced on Monday evening after the vote in Frankfurt/Main.

The vote at the DFL general meeting on Monday was held in secret. The much-discussed motion received just the required two-thirds majority.
