Soccer - Danish footballers move into European Championship camp in Freudenstadt
The Danish national soccer team is moving to Freudenstadt in the Black Forest for its training camp during next year's European Championships. "It's amazing. This is great news for Freudenstadt," said Lord Mayor Julian Osswald (CDU) in a press release issued by the town on Tuesday. "We are proud and delighted to be able to host such a likeable team with such passionate fans in our town. For me, Denmark is a perfect fit for Freudenstadt."
The Danes and coach Kasper Hjulmand will play their first group match at Euro 2024 on June 16 (18:00) in Stuttgart against Slovenia. On June 20 (6 p.m.) they will face England in Frankfurt/Main and on June 25 (9 p.m.) Serbia in Munich.
